That had disaster written all over. Carpenter seemed pissed that he dropped it and called for an error. I believe he is inwardly pulling for the Cardinals.

He's definitely a Cardinals fan. That doesn't bother me, though.

is it just me or does it seem like the ump's strikezone is awfully generous?

That had a AZ-esque ring to it.

Big Boy bomb by Dunn.

I don't think he deserved to be bashed after that outing. He's a young pitcher. If he developed a patter of that I would agree but not after one game. I bet you wouldn't do the same if it has been ZNN.
i wasn't here last night and from what i saw zimmermann made mistakes, he gave up 5 runs ... not good.  flores and zimmermann should know better to throw a fastball right down the plate on 3-0.

both zimmermann and martis are young.  but martis had a bad outing on monday, i wasn't going to sit back and say good job young fellow.  he was given a big lead and blew it.

these kids are learning.  strasburg / zimmermann / lannan / martis and hopefully balester/olsen/etc can fill out our rotation for years to come.

Crying about the strike zone is the talk of losers. Stuff a sock in it.

I'm sure you would've preferred a two run jack by Zimmerman followed by a K from Dunn.

Haha, finding out Dunn hit a 3-run homer is a good way of discovering that the game is actually on right now!
