If he's going to sue, why so few games?  ;)

Really, the guy's an idiot!

He obviously didn't make it to a lot of games.

So true, but it does bring to the forefront our complaint that we expect the competitions in MLB to be free from cheating, and that the teams play a major (if not THE major) role in ensuring that. So why not sue the responsible parties? I also would have named the identified players though in the suit.

I suspect that he may have been trying to make a point more than anything else, but who knows with our litigious society? What if some other litigious types jumped on board and started a class action suit? That would be something - MLB Fans v. MLB. :)

I think he is too and I think this guy knows in all probability he is not going to get what he is asking for.  If this guy was seriously crazy, he would of asked for a refund of a whole season's worth of tickets or something insane like that. This is just to make a point, maybe get his name in the newspaper, and inconvenience the very people that allowed this crap to happen.

Is NOTLD the only other poster that sees this as a way for this fan to make a point? I didn't take the suit seriously.

I know he was subpoenaed but not if he has been served.

He can't possibly believe that they will conduct the hearings without him and they will just forget about him.

The last I heard (a few days ago), he still hadn't been served.

I'm not sure what congress can do if the marshalls aren't able to locate him. As far as I know, a subpoena must be served before they can proceed with a failure to comply compaint.

Of course but just because they don't find him doesn't mean they will just say "Oh well, nevermind." He'll have to appear before them no matter what and they may be a little tougher on him because he tried to avoid them in the first place.

That sounds crazy.  Isn't the fact they're avoiding it, shows that they are failing to comply?
