Other than the side piping I really like the new DCU third kits.  Wouldn't mind these replacing the whites as the 2nd kit.

Maybe I'll get used to it, but at first glance butterscotch isn't doing it for me.

Um...it's red.  Maybe bad lighting on the pics but it's the Red DCU has had from the start.

Here it is at the team store:

Certainly looks much more red.  One suggestion I saw was to mix it up and do black shorts/white socks with the red shirt.  It's pretty nice but they could have gotten more creative.

I can live with that. The ones that Simms and Najar were wearing in the previous shots looked like they had been in the jacuzzi with some Flyers.

I've seen a few other pictures from the release today and they're clearly red.  Looks like the only ones with a camera crappy enough to make them look orange is DCU.

I wonder when they'll roll them out?  We didn't qualify for a single tournament in 2011, so it will have to be a league game (I guess United might still be able to play in to the Open Cup if they can beat the Winchester Woodchucks and Scranton Huffers this year)

I'm assuming a home match or two when it's 102 in the shade and the all black is just oppressive.

Okay, Football Manager keeps giving me teams with great names that I want to go see in person at some point in my life.  I've recently stumbled across Uruguayan side "Lota Schwager" and Finnish side "FC Santa Claus."  Seriously, that Finnish team damn well be overweight, wearing red velvet and tie on beards, and have an uncomfortable obsession with people under 5 feet tall.

So many crazy transfers this month. Liverpool got Suarez and Carroll and sold Torres to Chelsea. I think they'll be better now up front.

Has Torres turned it around? Wasnt he crapping it up early?

Michael Bradley is also apparently on his was to Aston Villa. He was scratched in his last game in Germany. Is that in preparation for the transfer. I would think going to EPL is an upgrade, so why would they want a guy who cant crack the lineup for his German team

Yeah, he has been playing a lot better recently.

They got him on loan. Aston Villa made a lot of nice moves this month.

Part of the difficulty with a relegation system in baseball is that in the US most minor league teams are affiliated and rostered by a major league club.  Not for the independent leagues, but they are outside the MLB structure.  The Nats control Syracuse, Harrisburg, Potomac, . . .  Potomac does not keep the players that won the Carolina league and go up to the Eastern League.  Harrisburg gets them.

It would be especially tough to do for AAA promotion to MLB.  The Yankees would not lose the players at S-WB if they were promoted after winnning the IL.  This would certainly impact whether a team promoted quality players to the next level. There would have been a big negative for the NYY leaving montero at S-WB.  S-WB could not afford the talent the NYY left there if they had to buy them, and they don't have the right to sell them to get money to field a team on their own.
