NE is done. Brady has not played well today. And Welker's drop on 3rd down was a killer.

Patriots now need 2 TDs and a 2-point conversion to tie.
Looking like an All Harbaugh Super Bowl.

Bernard Pollard's victims:

Brady's knee.
Welker's knee.
Gronk's ankle.
Ridley's head.

NE has the good fortune of playing in a bad division so they aren't really challenged for the division crown. They need a bona fide pass rusher, a stud RB and a legit number 1 WR or they can expect to exit the playoffs every year after winning the division.

No, the Orioles spent 34 years trying to prevent baseball from returning to Washington.

The Ravens were stolen from Cleveland, who refused to give its owner a free new stadium, despite selling out their old stadium with losing teams.

is Joe Flacco really a better QB than Tom Brady?  He certainly outplayed him today.

Brady had a rough outing but I wouldn't say Flacco outplayed him. Maybe you can say he outplayed him by default but no way is Flacco a better QB than Brady. The Ravens didn't win in spite of Flacco but they didn't win because of Flacco. I would say they won WITH Flacco. They won because their defense handled NE's offense and because NE's defense is still crappy when it's all said and done. Of course in some idiot's estimations, Flacco is one win away from apotheosis into the pantheon of great QB's.

Once Talib went down the Pats defense became passive and vulnerable.  They absolutely controlled Wilfork all game, which no one has done.  Spikes is a defensive end and not a linebacker who can cover a tight end.  He can chip, but that is it.  The interference on Dennard was a big play, because that would have killed B'More's 1st drive in the 2d half, but other than that, the inability of Cole to cover the slot guy, the wide open seam stuff, etc... was a real flash back to the start of the year.  The Pats have gone through 5 sets of d'backs in 3 years.  That they were reasonably effective last year and this year (with Talib) down the stretch is more of a surprise than them getting abused.

Punting 2x from inside the opponents 40 and only one touchdown after being inside the 25 5 times is not going to get it done against even Trent Dilfer, and Flacco is on an Eli-like 2007/08 roll right now. While the Pats offense is a points machine against most teams, Baltimore always gives them trouble.  And when will the Pats sign Pollard just to preserve the offense's health.

B'More should have won last year's AFC championship game, and they beat the Pats 2x this year.  It's a tough match up for the Pats.  Everyone I know was hoping to travel to Denver rather than face B'More in Foxboro.  Good win for them.

You may have heard that Rex Ryan was involved in a traffic accident (true). The police let him off with a warning, because he had no previous offense
