The thing I find amusing, and puzzling, is the insistence some people have—and this is not unique to this forum—of dubbing threads "official" on a forum that is, due to being unaffiliated with the organization, an "unofficial" forum. I think a lot of people who post on the Internet have some kind of misguided love of the word "official" and think using it lends credibility to things. I saw something a few months ago where someone said DC United had announced Buzzard Point as "the official stadium site." How could there possibly be an "unofficial stadium site"?!
