I'm staying near there on a tugboat.

Nice, had no idea one could do that.

I usually stay at the Edgewater, at least when I can get offseason rates.  The Andra isn't bad either.

Not salmon of any variety! You gotta make sure it is wild!

Wild isn't a variety you mo, it's a lifestyle.         But of course wild salmon is superior, in any variety.

Silver, coho, chinook, king, pink, etc.

My sister did mission work for a year in Alaska and I visited for a week.  We drove up to Denali camping along the way and one evening we caught a silver salmon, cleaned it and cooked it over a fire we already had going for a wonderful streamside meal.  That fish was under 20 minutes stream to stomach.

My dad and grandfather were commercial fishermen in BC...I'm surprised I didn't grow gills from all the fish I grew up eating during family visits.

I was just in Seattle last week. Missed the Nats by a week.

I love Seattle, Pike's market in particular - so much impossibly beautiful sites, so much yummy seafood (as a Pescatarian, i like it just fine in Seattle)

:)

I'm pumped and super nervous. I really hope they do well and don't depress me.

I'm missing the GDTs and I don't even know how much internet I will have, so I'm making my own thread. I'll check it instead. Check in with game-day observations maybe.

Just...if anyone sees a crowd shot of a guy wearing my avatar, it is me. Crowd shot that crap.

Have you cleared customs/border check point?

I eat way too much meat, but I do love seafood of almost any variety.  When we vacation in the Outer Banks, it's seafood every night by rule.  In no particular order, crabs, leftovers go into crabcakes, seared tuna, dolphin, cobia (an amazing and grossly underated fish), croaker or spot, and last time down I kept a few speckled trout from a great day under one of the Manteo bridges and those were much better than I had imagined they would be.  All local stuff.  They sell salmon in local fish markets but people are morons to buy stuff like that down there.

And not to mention shrimp or mussels.

You're awash in fresh seafood and yet you buy flash frozen stuff flown in from far away places?

Compare carbon footprints on those products, not to mention freshness.

YOU GUYS I HAD THE BEST TIME!

My favourite player went yard and reached base five times.

I was really scared of Felix. He didn't stop us. All y'all haters...no ace should scare us.

I was right by 3B. Desmond should never have dropped that DP ball. Bullpen choices seemed weird. Nate playing...I dunno. I hope Kevin DHes tomorrow.

Also, from where I was I totally thought Bryce's homer was caught. I applauded the catch.

Also the park was lousy with Expos colours. So many loyal Canadians.

Excited for tomorrow. Am I still fired?

This city is expensive enough for regular people.  If you start going to the places designed and priced for tourists...wowzah!

Just stick to Pioneer Square and you'll have a great time.

You want wild caught, not just fresh.   I doubt you're getting wild caught.  (Unless somehow you're getting wild caught Atlantic salmon, which you shouldnot buy.)

The nearest live salmon is probably 1,000 miles away.  We'll have to disagree on the definition of "fresh".

Yes, it's very expensive.  While it's lots of fun to hit the bars & restaurants along the waterfront, those are VERY expensive so have to do it in moderation.  Use Yelp or other tools to scout out places where locals dine.

I was talking about my own city there...
