C'mon Garrett, get you stuff back together here.  Would be nice to get 6 innings out of him for a change.

Boy am I glad "JaysForDays" isn't here to crow about the grand salami?

Did he ever even like Zimmerman or say anything about him? :bang:
Actually, yes, he did.  He often said that Zimmerman was the "best young player in baseball" and that "Zimmerman >>>>>>>>>> Wright" :spaz:

Yeah but once Dukes joined the team Zimmerman became secondary. BTW, he was a Dio fan and his favorite song was/is Rainbow in the Dark.

Mock is done.  How does a pitcher become "done" so quickly?

Terrible walk by Mock. Mock had a rep before being injured of throwing "too many strikes" - a quality that should be deemed desireable and controllable. Rizzo's only Bowdenesque quality this season has been the way he has stuck with his boy Mock to give him chances to succeed others were not afforded. Mock has actually taken advantage of the chances. If he does ultimately pan out (and Rizzo was right that if he was to succeed it would need to be as a starter), then Rizzo's hunches are worth respecting even more. It will be interesting to see if he gives his other boy, Matt Chico, an extended look come September compared to others.

What are the odds that  :worship: DUKES  :az: gets benched, because he swung away for a grand slam, when he was SUPPOSED to go for another suicide squeeze bunt?

Miles plays three years for LaRussa in StL and hits .263, .290 and .317.
Signed as FA late 2008 with Cubs and hits .178.  What is it about LaRussa that he can get solid play outta less then average players.

Riggs wasn't pulling him out unless his arm feel off. You're up by 8, you can't freak out about a walk and a 2-0 count. He had a very nice turnaround. Very impressive outing tonight.

He psychically transfers his energy to them, leaving him exhausted to fall asleep at the wheel
