    • Ryan Church got shafted a bunch of times. He should've played way more during his time here

You guys just won't give up the Ryan Church love.    [/list]

    Don Sutton.

I met Sutton at Nats Park. Guy was a complete jerk. He never wanted to be in DC.

    • Jerome Williams almost had a no hitter
    • We had 7+ starting pitchers in 2007 and all of them were awful
    • Austin Kearns was considered a big signing

Ramon Ortiz almost had a no hitter
    Same with Jason Bergmann

Don't remember Jerome Williams coming close

He got a guy out. That was close enough for Jerome.

I kind of liked having Zimmerman and Dunn at 3-4 in the lineup.

what, you telling me you don't fancy the DeRosa Werth 3-4 combo?

Ortiz almost did, not so much Williams (he only took it into the 6th if I recall).

I have no memory of Bergmann ever sniffing a no-no.

Seeing Jerome get someone out is sort of like seeing the Loch Ness Monster. I won't believe it unless I see it with my own eyes.

I just looked it up and apparently Jerome Williams one-hit the Mets through 6 innings at RFK in late April.

While that's not what I would call "almost a no-hitter," that's waaaayyy better than I remember Jerome Williams EVER doing for the Nats.

That's my point. How the hell can such a guy take it to 6 innings.

    trade acquisition

I thought that trade was a complete steal for the Nats when it went down. Looking back on it now, it really wasn't.

I only remember because I was at that game.  Nats lost in extras

I remembered him having one decent outing, but I didn't remember it being that good.  Blew my mind.

Lost it on a solo homer in the 8th. Check out the damage he did in the first two innings. Box score

I do remember Bergmann terrorizing the Braves once or twice.  Primarily I remember that he had a four-solo HR CG loss in AZ

Remember when John Patterson was the freaking man? Ask the Dodgers if you don't believe his awesomeness.

Patterson could be downright nasty before he got hurt.
