You got your sunshine in my hater butter!!!

Only the Nats are capable of getting worse all the while winning 7 of 10.

The Phillies may actually be capable of doing that.

  Maybe I'm being irrational though.

I don't think you are. I had seen enough of Detwiler two years ago.

Two hits in four innings against Rodrigo Lopez...

Unforgivable.

And yes, Ankiel made two or three superb plays in CF. The catch was great, but maybe that pickup and throw to stop Soriano is even better.

I just feel like I've seen this story before, over and over and over again.  He's never quite bad enough that we feel like we can give up on him, but neither has he definitively shown he should stick around.  The only reason he's still up is because he's left-handed, and somehow that's not doing it for me anymore.  Maybe I'm being irrational though.

He's still a young guy.  Many pitchers don't put it together quickly.  I'm not saying he ever will, but he HAS been improving gradually.

As for the left handed thing, I am not an advocate of keeping guys around because you need lefties.  Remember in 2005 we had an all-righty staff when we were at our best.  Just get people out, to hell with what side they throw from.
