I still don't give a **** about that hammondsnats. If you're in the lineup you better produce or take your ass on an extended rehab assignment until you're ready to step in and produce. I only care about results. I don't care about excuses for favored players.

haha you're extra pissed off today.

Well he actually did contribute right off the bat mightily as he batted .310 in his first 9 games back.  It's the power that has taken so long to come back for him.  And given the fact he's had four extra base hits in his last six games, it may be coming back.

Worse case scenario is that he blows it, gets more experience, and can learn from his mistakes in the offseason.  Plus we get a better read of what he is capable of.

And we keep pace in the stakes for the number 1 pick.

The last time the Nats had fewer than 10 hits was Wednesday, coinciding with the day Eckstein arrived. He was too late to make a difference for that game.
How much longer do they have to produce like this before it's no longer just a coincidence that they started hitting when Eckstein arrived?

No I'm not angry. In fact had the circumstances gone a little different I may have been happy as hell and tired.  ;) And Zimmerman has contributed since his return. No doubt. I just don't like to hear excuses. That's all.

You can't be serious!   If this is due to Eckstein he is a freaking genius and should be given a multi-million dollar deal right now. A few things have happened since he got here. But to humor those that like to cling to these fairy tale stories, if the Nats were to hit like this for another 10 days or so I'll personally start a thread praising Eckstein as more beastly, pimply and studly than Elijah Dukes and Ronnie Belliard.

Seattle plays at Texas 8:05 pm and San Diego plays at the Los Angeles Dodgers at Los Angeles at 8:10 pm.

Oh crap, they did call up Ozzie Rodriguez to Potomac in time for the playoffs.

He pitched in relief today in Potomac's last regular season game: 3 IP 0 H 1 R 0 ER 2 BB 4 K.

So in your mind, the hitting coach has absolutely no bearing on the offense?

What a diving catch.  On fire at the plate or not, the defense is always there.

They should have started him out there, IMO.  Glad to see that he is going to finish things off there at least.

Very little impact. This game is about players. Otherwise we could have Eckstein and a bunch of AAAA bums and still get the results we're getting now. Hitting instruction has its impact at the lower levels.
