We played a small family game in the backyard last night.  And dan just said that I swung faster and hit better than Fick just did.  But what he didn't say was that the first hit I made was a line drive, unfortunately right for his, well, a guy's weak spot.  Fortunately, he jumped out of the way just enough to avoid a line drive hit to the #&^).

At least he didn't completely lose the game.  A tie is better than the other option!

Rauch sets them down 1-2-3.
We should have left Young in to hit, instead of using What-the-Fick to field and strike out with 2 on...

Yeah, we were bummed afterwards that we didn't tape it.  Andrew was cute and played hard.  Elisa, my 5 yo princess, was batting w/ a little princess dress on and a hat too big for her.  Juliana, my 4 yo, tried to hit, but I had to help her.  When she "hit" the ball, she had no idea what run to first went. She was running all over the back yard.  The game was going great until Mommy hit a foul into our HUGE azeleas (sp).

Cordero makes me nervous every time he pitches in a tight game....that's not a good vibe to get from your closer.   Now Rauch - why isn't HE our closer?  That inning was quick and painless, I never get nervous with him on the mound.

Just a couple of nights ago, folks were wanting his head too.  What a fickle bunch we are.  :)
