you just cannot get thrown out on the bases in front of the heart of our order.

it's not worth the risk. if you go you have to be damn sure you are going to be safe.

he was safe for the 2nd straight time.  we got hosed there.

It is inexcusable when an umpire directly impacts the game by making bad calls and he's done it consecutive games now.

He was safe!
he was safe :?
maybe but that is the risk you take when you just steal at reckless abandon. it totally negates everything.

wow. Dunn delivers.

If he had stayed at first, Lowe still wouldn't have an out.

thank you.

if that's bernadina, nieves, flores, zimmerman getting hosed SF makes sure everyone on this forum knows about the bad call.

we're a last place team and he was being aggressive ... he's been great at stealing bases and it's been winning us ballgames.  stop crying SF.

inexcusable. this is why we are a garbage ass bullcrap team.

this team is the definition of stupid.

good teams score 3+ runs off of Lowe there to take a commanding lead of the game.

We missed the chance to have a big inning and likely have lost the game.

How many runs has he produced by stealing bases?
This isn't a pick and choose game. You can't applaud him when he successfully steals, but attack him when he's called out.

it is said that the break even point is close to 70%. Morgan is hovering right around that point. Anything lower than that and the caught stealings negate the SBs.

just look at how many potential runs he has cost us the last two nights getting thrown out on the basepaths.

he must be more selective and pick his spots to go.

You can't afford to only score 1 run against Lowe right there. Hell, we could have knocked him out of the game.

woeful sinker left way up in the zone.

not good enough. he's got to keep the ball low or else they will rock him.

Face the facts. Nothing this team does makes you happy. You always focus on the negatives.

because we are a bullcrap team. why should we have to accept this garbage?

It would be one thing if we were struggling as an offense and Morgan was trying to create a spark by forcing the issue and trying to steal every time on but the guys behind him are all on fire and we just cannot afford for him to get thrown out. Sure, it's nice to swipe a bag but it is generally not worth the risk, especially under the current circumstances.

He's batting .360. Getting on base at the clip he is doing is a job well done. Don't blow it by making unnecessary big outs on the bases.

This is a 1-2-3 inning for Lowe coming up, probably about 10 pitches.  The tone has been set for our offense by that first inning.  >:(

btw, Morgan is 20/27 since joining Washington.  that's about a 75% rate.  I'll take that.

I think the rationale for stealing is simple. Guzzie hits singles. He can score from second and he was never thrown out last night.
