Add in some pitching help and Dunn, and this is a solid team.

Ray Knight can't hold a broom at all.

Bonafacio has already been more valuable to us than Rauch could have been. Rauch belongs on a contender at this point. We needed to get someone who could give us some hope for the future...and we got it. Ballsy move by the FO, but they deserve some credit.

I've said this in the "plan" thread, but I think the pitching help will come from the minors next year. What we will need is a single good offensive bat for either 1B or the outfield, and possibly an older pitcher to serve as a "mentor" for the kids.

Knight and Holliday are awesome.

I vote this series as the best of the season.

He said in the pregame that he admits it, and he doesn't care what people think.
Seriously though, when you follow one team 162 games a season, it is hard not to root for them.

Joe Morgan and Jon Miller only follow a specific team a couple of times a season. With that said, you can tell that they are biased.

Do you guys think that Dukes could be a true #3 or #4 hitter by next year?

The New Guys:

Emilio Bonifacio - 5 for 13, 2B, 3B, 2 SO, 1 SB/1 CS, and a RBI
Alberto Gonzalez - 4 for 10, 2 2B, 2 BB, 1 SO

Not a bad debut

The defense won this game for us as much as anything else.

I was more laughing than condemning.
