3-4-5 due up, time for a quick and easy 1-2-3 inning.

Nats love taking it in the ass

it's the way they lost.  so many freakin opportunities.  but the dogcrap offense that needs tons of help in the offseason for next year let us down AGAIN.

this game had a loss feel to it.  The bases loaded, score nothing (even though Morse got hbp) was a red flag.

Have you watched JZ pitch this year? He's melted down in the 6th-7th quite frequently. It's not a coincidence, it's a pattern.

He gave up a walk, that doesn't necessarily trigger getting pulled.  In fact, generally it would not, unless you believe in coddling your precious little pitchers.

This team has so many holes. SS, CF, LF, catcher are the main ones. That's half the lineup full of weak links.

Didn't the game on Sunday when Desmond had a two strike count fell like a loss?  Feelings can betray...

Nats should have won this game 7-0. Going to lose 2-0. Absolute embarrassment

Baloney Bob. Record for HR by rookie is 30 by Bob Allison. Where did "Coco Laboy" play?

Someone tell that to Ryan Braun who hit 34 as a rookie in 2007.

There aren't too many pitchers that don't run out of gas at some point.

On the walk, the ball was about an inch outside, and the call could have gone either way, or the batter could have swung.  Same pitch could have had dramatically different outcome.  But I'm sure you could see into Zimmnn's soul and could tell he was gassed, even with an out in that situation.

I went back and watched the ABs because of SF's typical hyperventilating, and because at the time I thought it was a good idea to stretch Zimmermann out as his season is winding down.

Generally when you are looking for pitcher fatigue you look for pitches elevating above the zone. Zimmermann had two high fastballs in those two ABs, but he bounced back after both of them. The slider was the pitch that was really missing. He also ended both of those ABs with very solid pitches -- the ground out and the almost strike.

Anyway, I think that Zimmermann deserved to stay in the game. He was pitching a great game, it's late in the season, and we need him to be able to go deep into games in the future.

Every game feels like a loss to you.

He hates Ramos because he's not Jesus Flores.

You're going to say that now after the weekend the Nats just had?  Seriously?

but the Phillies are good and were playing well.  i didn't feel anything about those games.  this is a team playing badly in a game where we had so many chances and we're losing.  This is not the kind of game you comeback.

FYI...the Nats are allowing ticketholders who couldn't make it tonight to exchange for tickets for a future home game.

Pretty absurd. But whatever, people have been saying that this team would fold and dive way under .500 all year.

He hates Ramos because he's not Jesus Flores.

and werth because he's not bernadina and every pitcher because he's not martis or some 19 year old prospect.
