I'm not sure that fixes anything. When players suck, we always scream fire the hitting or pitching coach. And crap gets no better until we get better players. Does anyone really believe Randy St. Claire wouldn't be doing a better job than McCatty and our unhittable pitching would be even more unhittable, were he still here?
