After watching Espinosa's last AB... I think he should just swing for the fences ever AB or go for a walk. No more trying to get hits.. cause that's not working... but when he actually got on base, he did damage.

People are mad at Hairston for doing what Harper just did. Which was swat at Ramos's glove.

Not the swat at the ball (which Hairston missed).

I think the kid's gonna stick around for a little while.  Gotta find somebody who'll be the sacrificial lamb.  DeRosa? Nady?

Harper did not do the same thing, he initiated contact with the catcher who was standing in the basepath. The catcher couldn't hold on to the ball

No, but Hairston missed that attempt anyway.  He succeeded however in knocking the ball from Ramos with his hands when they made initial contact.

What a moron. Harper did exactly what Hairston did.

I had no issues with either play.

The nagging came not about the ball being on the ground but the swipe he took at the ball while in Ramos' glove. The second part of your argument is stupid.

The only nagging I did was about the ball on the ground. Several of us were nagging at the swipe on the ball on the ground, although it turned out that he whiffed on the swipe.

You really expect a Nats forum to nag about a Nat? Okay, bro. Guess my argument is stupid.

I'm sorry... but Desmond has to show bunt to stop himself from swinging? Is he borderline brain dead?

tomterp you were the one that pointed it out, can you straighten out that what Harper did (swiping at the glove) was exactly was hairston did?
