So what's this "procedure" Dunn is having?

They're adding the "swing at good pitches with two strikes" gene.

If that happens, our NBA team would be winning the title right at about the same time our NHL team is winning the Stanley Cup, only months after our NFL team hoists the Vince Lombardi trophy and while the Nats are making their run to their first WS title. And the next day I'll post about it the Weird Ass Dream thread.

Hey.. It could happen! Everythings looking up DC!

We win the WS. 4 months later Skins win. Then Caps and Wizards win!

John Wall just knocked a big chunk off of the Caps' bandwagon. Oh well. At least now there may be less kids bothering me by pretending they are Caps fans.

You know, you are allowed to be both.  It's not mutually exclusive.

Kinda weird to start with the guy on the team who needs it the least.

Too bad we can't give you any run support, John.

Remember when you got on people about quoting people you were ignoring?  Just saying...

Wait, is Linty "ignoring" Bob Carpenter? How do you do that, listen to the radio feed or mute the TV? And how do you do that and still hear what Bob Carpenter is saying?

lol no, I was just trying to make a point about him constantly nagging about Carpenter.

I actually know people who watch the game muted and listen to the radio, though.

Come on Wil, that pitch was a good foot and a half off the plate.

Don't you guys think there has to be a better defensive catcher out there than Nieves?

Surely the guy would also hit better.

Aside from a handful of clutch hits, Nieves and Harris have both plummeted back to earth this year.  It was bound to happen I guess, but still kind of a bummer.

Our best bet for a title is to hang our hopes on the DC Divas. Of course even the Divas have a 3 year championship drought currently active.   :'(

#53 looks like the woman Peter Griffin punched at Chris' soccer game when he thought she was a he.

Why doesn't Nyjer ever bunt it towards first base?

She looks bigger than Jeff Bostic and a couple of other members of the Hogs.

Chris Bosh with Arenas and Wall would be siiiiick

If the Bullets do what is expected they'll enter the offseason with McGee, Blatche, Thornton, Foye (a maybe but I think he'll stick around), Young, Arenas and #1, 30 & 34.  You have to go Wall at #1 so the backcourt is pretty much set.  A post and a wing via FA gives you a pretty decent core for the East.  I think something like Haywood/Pryzbilla/Darko at C and wing like Rudy Gay could do the job.
