I'd rather see the Nats bring up catchers from the minors

I suggested Pudge weeks ago and was jumped on.

Sure, but we're at the end of the line now with talent that can concievably perform in the majors.

Ramos and Solano on the DL leaves Flores and Leon, with only Maldanado in reserve.   Clearly Leon needs more seasoning, though he's got some talent.

I'm at the beach this week.  I came back to the condo to eat lunch at 2:00 p.m. to watch the opening of the game.  My family wanted me to come back to the beach after lunch so I consented.  My son and my son-in-law have phones that keep track of the game.  When the Nats were down 7 to 3, I figured that's it but I kept watching the phone.  When they won 11 to 10, I simply couldn't believe it!  This team is remarkable.  Wow!!!!  Three out of four from the Brewers and 21 games above .500.

i wonder if the Phillies would part with Carlos Ruiz and what it would take to get him.  There's a team option on him for next year.  If we're going to try and win this year, he could easily put us over the top.

Ramos must be fit to be tied to be missing this of all seasons.

Talk about tough luck, the guy was kidnapped and feared dead and then restores virtual normality in his life before buckling his knee on a play he makes 99/100 times. Such a nice guy, not very fair really

There's video of it on the highlight of it on mlb.com/video I believe. So a .gif could be made.

Davey look like he was suffering several times...like the Mattheues give-up after the Nats came back from dead to tie the score in the 8th. I wish Davey was chubby and had his mustache. He looks frail now. Needs the '86 look.

He was probably as relieved as he was excited, I mean it was suicidal leaving Mattheus in that long.

I love davey, but sometimes I think he is way too senile

One of the quotes of the day, describing a great win.

Matheus, on his tough outing:  "That guy probably shouldn't have went down the slide as many times as he did."

i'm going to weigh -in with some observations on the game. Gio was not sharp regardless of the umps. Zim should have remembered what to do from little league. Brain fart. Mattheus stunk.

What can you say about Morse that hasn't already been said.Clipp is reviving memories of the "Chief". Don't want to go that route again. Yes we came back from a bad game. Probably off sets the Friday night game against the Braves which I consider the worst loss in Nats' history.

I am going to the game tomorrow and I am afraid the phils will be like a rabid dog after being swept by the Braves. Do we have the killer instinct because we can bury them and put them out of their misery. Probably more important to the fans than the players.

You can never take the little boy out of the game.    Probably had the same reaction in LL.

Brewers fire bullpen coach: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/brewers-fire-bullpen-coach-162111463--mlb.html

Here we go again, teams firing managers or coaches because we take series from them.
