So Swydan was wrong, but Swydan was right.

Does he have a second career as a TV meteorologist?

To be fair he predicted the Nats to win the East and the Phillies to bomb out in the spring.  So Swydan was wrong, but Swydan was right.

Braves infield defense (or lack thereof) is their undoing - no surprise. They threw the ball all over the field all year. Just happy I don't have to listen to anymore tomahawk frickin chop. Nice of Atlanta fans to pelt the field with trash though - that was fun.

haha

Good one

took MLB 7 seconds to "deny the protest"

And less time than that for the former supervisor of umpires to declare it "The right call!"

What a hustle - #Barf

Close thread. This is fail as completely as fail can be.

Nope. Ironically, using the word "fail" as an adjective is the biggest fail.

Utterly off-topic (but so was your admonition), but such use of "fail" passed into common usage several years ago.  For example, here's a NY Times article on the subject from 2009 - http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/09/magazine/09FOB-onlanguage-t.html?_r=0

Man, Chipper looked pissed off at the end of that.  I guess notching an error in the last game of your career isn't exactly going out in style.

I give Paul Swydan 5 minutes before he finds another justification where the Braves are better than the Nats.

Swydan: St. Louis must stay patient vs. Nats

Can anyone with Insider access post what he wrote?  I'm especially interested in seeing who he picks to win this series...
