Indictment of what, though?   That we can't hit for sh-t or that Detwiler can't pitch?     Or both?    ;)

I'm not sure what I meant but it is both.  :)

Detwiler frustrates me. He looks the part and has the stuff for a few innings, but he just can't stay in the game. I really liked him when we drafted him, but I'm losing faith in him.

I think (IMHO) most lefties throw "hooks".    Spahn had a great curve as did Koufax, Ford, etc.

Disclaimer:  I'm left-handed.

Koufax had a great curve.    But he also threw serious heat.

My favorite part of the recent Koufax biography.  Some American Leaguers (the Yankees?   I forget.)  are watching Koufax pitch.  One of them asks a Dodger player, "How the hell did he lose any games?"

The Dodger says, "He didn't lose any.  We did."

Perhaps that screams long relief.

Detwiler is one of those guys I'd trade if I could get a good deal. Maybe I am giving up on him too soon but he just doesn't look like he will ever figure it out and I have heard more than once he is a whiny, headcase.

Agree - Just a matter of a righty coming to bat

That def wasn't Burnett's fault.
