Question - I have seen Desmond come up to talk to the pitcher a lot, seemingly to give a quick tip or something. What does he say to them, or is it just a stalling tactic?
One of our announcers recently said that the 2nd baseman and SS get very good looks at pitches and hitters' reactions. Maybe Desi saw something to pass on.
