I think I know what happened.
Whatever happened to Strasburg, he was talking about it to another player and Johnson overheard it and, because he's 69, older people have less an ability/desire to censor themselves so what should have stayed in the clubhouse, Davey Johnson couldn't stop himself from talking about it to the media.
There is no way this should have come out.
