spoprtsnyan is wrong again!
SF's lifetime prediction record on the gameday threads is about like Werth's BA.
We can calculate the odds of that happening and they're not high enough to make it a good idea to bunt, especially with a guy like Espinosa who makes a huge percentage of his outs in the air. Whether the play "works" or not, it's dumb. Espinosa could have hit an HR there and we'd be up 4-2.
I wonder how you'd feel about Johnson if he didn't have any orioles connection.
Being on vacation sucks as a fan. Glad I can see tonights game. What happened yesterday, other than what the box score suggests? Gorz that bad?
Fortunately the game isn't played by geeks on calculators. The game is played by men executing on the field.
It just had to be said....
lol, the O's had a 7-6 lead against Boston after 6 innings and now the score is 15-7 Boston in the 8th.
And at the end of the day, it was the ninth inning. You don't bunt Espinosa in the fourth, but you bunt him in the ninth.Even shoeshineboy and tomterp who both hate bunts would probably have bunted Espinosa there.
they are awful
