Charlie mentioned something about everyone 'leaving happy' tonight if Zimm hit a walk-off.

The begging for food tuesday was great as well.

I cut it a little too early.  RIGHT after that Charlie says something like "I was nice and cool all night but I just broke out in a sweat after that!"

Got home from the Mystics match last night just in time to catch the post-game re-cap on the radio - classic!

(So I guess since I didn't go at all I really blew it - especially since the Stics lost again, 89-80 to Indiana, blowing a 24-13 first-quarter lead.)

Nah, honestly, it wasn't a very fun game until the bottom of the 9th....of course, then it got REALLY fun!
...all those folks who left after Zimm's GIDP...sad for them

Funny thing is, on the Metro heading home I didn't see a lot of people in either Nats or Mariners colours (Mystics let out at 21.13, Nats at 22.04 or thereabouts) so I thought either it was a good tight match or it ended really early.

If only they'd post the baseball scores inside the arena like they used to do I might have headed down to the ballpark to catch the tail end, if it had looked like there were a few innings left; I used to do that back then, even in RFK days - once I got to Nats Park after the Mystics let out on a Friday and got treated to a 14-inning finish vs the Padres; another time I made it out there the very instant the Base Line Brews behind 302/303 was closing (after walking as fast as I could up the ramps since the escalator was by now of course heading down).

I'll confess, it was only about 2140 when we got into the 9th, seemed too early to leave and we had the top of the order coming up so I figgered I'd watch the close, I did not expect to win.

I've got an iPhone with the Nats mobile app, gives me pretty timely updates and will do pitch by pitch (as long as I'm not on Metro)

Listen, Charlie, I think you're totally awesome, but when you do an advert and say "I did it right here in the broadcast booth" I don't think you mean ordering a new car.

I absolutely love the guys. Play off one another so well, and I dont feel like I miss a thing when im listening to a game, which is just about every game we play. I could fall asleep to Slowes reading me bedtime stories every night he has such a pleasant voice. Definitely one of the better duo there is
