Colon re-signs with A's. He still has games left on his suspension for PED's.  :lmao:

I was randomly at an A's/Rockies game this summer. Guthrie and Colon both gave up like 8+ ER. I had no idea that I was watching the eventual AL West Champs  I took a picture of Colon. He was fat.

Red Sox re-sign Big Pappy - two years for  minimum $26 mill, up to $30 million with incentives. Repercussions for Nats and LaRoche?

Orioles looking to get Josh Hamilton?  Sure.  Put him in the pantheon of other great Orioles signings like...Albert Belle, Rafael Palmeiro, and Nate McLouth.

Red Sox signed David Ross, Braves lose a good backup catcher. Big blow considering McCann is out to start the season.

Wow, I honestly thought David Ross would never leave. Best backup in the sport, imho.

Curious move for them.  Lavarnway could go back to AAA, but he is supposed to be the organization's man of the future.  You wonder if Salty is on the block, or perhaps they are thinking of using him at 1st if they don't get ALR.

Jesus Flores will be wearing a Braves uniform next season.

bummer, was really hoping we would get him.  I wonder if Burnett is plan B, or we go with another reclamation project.

The Royals are the dumbest team in baseball.

3 year - $25 million for Guthrie. Guy had a 4.76 ERA last year and will be 34 in April. Makes no sense.

Rays re-sign Joel Peralta. Surprised the Nats didn't give him a call.

They're paying 18 mil for Guthrie/Santana... could have signed Lohse or Sanchez for that.

Nats big bullpen need is more on the lefty side than the righty.  If the Rays signed Mike Gonzalez, then I'd be more surprised.

There's no way Lohse signs this early with a team like KC.

With what Davey pulled on him last year, I wouldn't expect him to actually take the call.

Well I'm not saying they could have had him now, but down the line a bit.

But Santana is a one year rental and Guthrie is only for three years in comparison to the five-ish that Lohse will get, even though he shouldn't.
