At our current pace, our projected record is 52-110.

Is it possible to be that bad?

It's a Washington tradition, and why attendance averaged 8,000.

I guess this team has a lot in common with that 1972 team.  Similar record & managed by a HOF player that isn't a very good manager.

My bad, in 1972 they were the Texas Rangers.  I think Ted Williams was fed up with the meddling pre-Steinbrenner owner, Bob Short, and quit after that year.  He did great in 1969: 86-76 and had them in 4th place out of the 10 team league.  More meddling = 1970 was 70-92, the 63-96 in 1971.  There was no subway, only 10,000 parking spaces, and 8000/game attendance impaired revenue, which the owner mismanaged anyway.  Ted Williams would have excelled with Kasten.  But Ted never really had good pitching, anf Frank seems to hate all pitchers.
