He was a senior, right? My guess is slot.

You sir, have been reported to the authorities and will be deported from the UK forthwith for not recognizing a picture of Jezza.
Dang it, I know who he is, have seen the show, and see his face on billboards all the time here, and even almost bought his book, but ... there's something about that avatar that makes him a little hard to recognize ;)

Tony Nix isn't related to Laynce and Jayson is he? His name does have a Y in it . . .

If he was related it would be spelled Toyni.

MLB.com transactions lists Deion Williams as signed and assigned to GCL Nationals:
http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/transactions/index.jsp#month=6&year=2011&team_id=120
That is good news!

Also lists Todd Simko (21), Erick Fernandez (25) and Anthony Nix (50).

Also lists a Jason Smith.  Don't see him on this year's list of draftees.  Is he an UFA?

Read that Williams expected to sign - glad it happened. We need youth in the system. Teenage youth. Doubt he sticks at ss but he's got some ability.

Does anybody know if Deion had a scholarship to any school?

Well Harper would be a senior in high school now, so that kid could just be a younger senior.

Williams had committed to Georgia State, but ultimately signed with the University of South Carolina - Beaufort. An NAIA school. I figured he'd sign, because there's no reason to pass on a pro contract of around $50 grand to go to an NAIA program. Glad we ended up making it official though.

I hope they've been signed.... Or the Nats have been playing unsigned players for a few days now.

Shrug, I don't pay any attention to that stuff, I was just trying to help Nathan out since I believe he wanted to keep the list up-to-date.

I wasn't taking a jab at you.

I was making fun of Nats PR for taking so long to announce it.
