Well you might be surprised. More often than not, the award goes to a pitcher on a winning team.
I'm sure that's true and I suspect it's because the better teams tend to have better pitchers, that's what makes them good.

And that probably had more to do with the Nats being superior to the Mets than Gio being better than Dickey.
