0-8 with RISP tonight. That has to be driving someone other than the fans at WNFF nuts!

We are so freaking pathetic.  We have had a runner at 3rd with 1 out two innings in a row and have stranded him there both times.  A real ML team would have 6-7+ runs at this point off of Figueroa.

I would suggest moving Zimmerman down in the order, but then I couldn't tell you who to move up in the order to replace him.  Milledge batting 5th is a joke, but who should replace him?  We just completely suck up and down the order.

Warning: I'm about to go sportsfan on the Nats.

These freaking bums have to be the worst hitting team we've had in 4 years and that's saying A LOT!

Fig at 76 pitches.  He'll be gone in the 5th.

Who else thinks that, more than anything, we need to pick up/trade for a REAL #3 hitter before next season and pay him whatever he wants?

Yep, we have an entire lineup full hitters who deserve to hit in the 7-8 spot in the order.

Flores will be on the DL within a week if he keeps catching these foul balls off the neck & mask

Who would you suggest?

I'd like us to get Furcal but he's a lead-off guy.

Well, at least he's supporting his team!  Actually, we encourage the boys on the tee ball team to do the exact same thing.

OK let's hear it, "How mature is it for a young player like Zimmerman not to let his hitting slump affect his defense" :?

Which I think means that Manny needs to re-evaluate his preference to not sacrifice or hit & run except only in extreme circumstances.   It's not like we have the 27 Yankees lineup.  What would've been wrong with having Willie Harris sac Milledge over to 2nd in the 9th yesterday instead of a first pitch air out?   A lineup like this needs to manufacture runs and not sit back and wait for the 3 run HR that hardly ever comes.

If the season ended today, this would be one of the worst hitting teams in Major League history.
