Maybe we can get Jacquizz Rodgers or Dion Lewis later on in the draft. DeMarco Murray is one RB that I hope we don't get.

Or they can just hold off on RB and try to land Trent Richardson from Alabama.

Too risky. If Carter stays healthy the Cowboys just got a steal.

How did the Cowboys pick before the Redskins?  The tied teams (all 6-10) are supposed to reverse order from the first round.  They were supposed to pick right after the Redskins in the second round.

Not that it's a big deal but 17 reps from a player that size seems weak.

Very, considering Stephen Paea (another DT) had 49.

I did read that Jenkins dominates most centers, though. Including the top two in this draft class.

That's freaking sick. Check out the way he presses the weight.

Maybe they will reconsider going back to the 4-3.

One of your boys. Are Mike Golic' sons ever going to get playing time or are they mostly not good enough and are only there because their father and uncle played at ND?

FSU has a guard that is supposed to be small but very smart and athletic. He could be a fit for this offense.

How did the Cowboys pick before the Redskins?  The tied teams (all 6-10) are supposed to reverse order from the first round.  They were supposed to pick right after the Redskins in the second round.

Correction, the tied teams "cycle", ie the top tied team moves to the back of the list and each team moves up for each succeeding round.  From wikipedia:

Quote
Once the order for the first round is determined, generally speaking and barring other arrangements, the selection order remains the same for subsequent rounds. However, teams with the same record within the same status group "cycle" picks in each subsequent round. For example, in the 2008 draft, Arizona, Minnesota, Houston, and Philadelphia all finished 8–8, and picked in that order in the first round. In the second round, the order became Minnesota, Houston, Philadelphia, and Arizona. That cycling continues through all seven rounds.

...and that sucks in this draft because there were a lot (7) 6-10 teams last year.

Yeah, the Golics are effort guys, but they're below average.

I'm hoping that we get an offensive lineman here, too.

I always liked Austin Pettis over Young on that team. Both were good, though.

It's tough to see other teams amass top talent while the Redskins stagnate in the mire of their own incompetence.  :bang:

I wonder if Jenkins was the player the Redskins wanted or the one they settled for?  There seem to have been better players available, at positions of just as much need.

My guess is that the Redskins get Ryan Mallett, Benjamin Ijalana or Marcus Cannon with their next pick. Even though Mallet is known for being an ass, he's still a really talented QB.

Disaster with this offense. Might as well have this at QB. He reminds me of Drew Bledsoe at the end of his career.

But why would you want Locker and not Mallet? I've watched a couple of videos of both of them and Mallet seems to have the stronger arm, quicker release, and he's taller. All Locker has on him is athleticism.

I think Locker has way more upside. He can develop some of the necessary skills. Mallet will never develop athleticism.
