Too little, too late from the Nats. Where was this effort against Dickey?

Oh well freak it, they better score 10 vs Doubront tomorrow, he's trash.

laroche slowed down at the end.  if he didn't, then he would have made it.

Dodgers load the bases in the 9th vs Philly. They already lead 4-3 and threatening for more

I'm trying, Linty.

I wouldn't call it an effort thing.  Dickey's made a lot of teams look pedestrian the past couple of years.

Gutless loss on home field. Very disappointing. Need to sweep Boston.

This is what, his second start?

and if he had played the whole year and qualified, he'd be last among starters in whip- his abysmal era is the product of good luck- he is terrible

Should have swept, they really need to start taking advantage. The division's too good to let hang around.

The Mets are playing way over their heads right now. They'll crumble. It'll be Nats/Braves/Marlins at the end. Philly and New York aren't good.

Just keep winning series and they'll pull away.

I guess you could make all sorts of similar claims about Strasburg based on a 2-start sample earlier in the season.  or perhaps I misunderstood your point...

how about a larger sample - he's sucked since 2008- is 4 years long enough? Over that time, he's managed a staggering 2.3 WAR

And with that I take a leave of absence from doing GDT.  freak you Wang, I hope you're released before my next start.

Since 2008?  So you mean less than half of 2011 and two games in 2012?

Maybe we should make a run at Bradon Webb, Mike Mussina, or Aaron Cook. They haven't done anything in a while, but they've been good more recently than Wang, and since the last few years really don't matter... A couple more Wang starts and a couple of more relief outing by detwiler and it's entirely possible that Wang will have an ERA double the pitcher he replaced
