Work was insanely busy yesterday, so clicking the GT was the first I heard of Livo's return. I thought DPM was joking

Hope they saved some runs for tonight. Popping some welcome back  for the big man.

Go Nats!

I like to go with road jerseys for road games as well as images that are the same size.  This is the closest I could find for the moment...

Wow Livan has the W arm action that causes a pitcher to blow out his elbow. Go figure

Yeah, that Twins picture was the only one I could find that had a pic with Harden that was the same size.  This isn't horribly different, it should be ok.

It should be "Nationals @ Cubs" not "Nationals at Cubs" I think the Chief is pretty strict about that.

Guess I can't sneak in Twinkies into the Park anymore without Livan hounding me.

Ronnie Belliard or Mike Morse should be starting everyday. I am betting that Rizzo/FO is telling Riggleman to start Gonzalez everyday because I'm pretty sure Riggleman wants Belliard to start so they can win more so his job can become safe.

Belliard is actually a fairly valuable bat now to insert as a pinch hitter at an opportune time, or in a double switch like yesterday.  We've needed a decent bat off the bench all season to put in high leverage situations.

Bard has more than one injury he's nursing, right?  Groin AND something else.

that doesn't meant we should be putting in AAAAlgo.  what a waste of a spot he is.  i know SF is happy though.

As defined by? There is no statistical data that suggest that Nieves is a superior catcher than Bard.

you watch the games don't you? you'd seriously rather have Bard over Nieves as a back-up catcher?

Wil has done a great job.

I'm a Nieves fan, I'm very happy to have him get the lion's share of the starts.  He gets a lot of leverage (meaning, he's clutch) out of his otherwise meager offensive stats, and he blocks the plate and throws well.  I'm less sure of his game calling ability, but I've always enjoyed watching his emphatic pitch location instructions to the pitchers.  He can even steal a base for you once in a while.

Just don't ask him to do that suicide bunt thing again.   :-[
