I don't know. Both of the other guys were running at angles towards him and it didn't look like they were going to move out of the way. That could have been a nasty collision.

Yeah, Desmond deserves a share of the blame.  Shouldn't have been in pursuit, and then let the runner get to 2nd.

So, if the Nats win this inning.

Does Nyjer deserve a beachball? The hit doesn't really make up for his boneheadedness.

Numbers aren't too bad. Shuler was always stuck behind Quarless, who had discipline issues.

Yep, Beachball his ass.

His hit was only an RBI because of a bad fielding play by the Dodgers.

eh, desmond doesn't get a dibble or beachball today.  he made the baserunning mistake and was godawful on that strikeout, other than that he's had a good day in the field and at the plate.

I meant blame for that particular play, idk about the whole game.

There didn't seem to be a lot of communication there. Both Guzman and Desmond reached for it a little hesitantly. I would imagine that would an easier for Desmond running to his glove side than Guzman reaching over in a backhand grab with bodies around him.
