As I mentioned in the other thread, the best part about this was that Hawk was not on the call.

Ed Farmer screwed up the call on Sox radio.

Said he threw a perfect game at US Cellular Field.

Game was at Safeco.

I did not hear the news that White Sox pitcher Phil Humber had thrown a perfect game until late last night. This morning, I watched a post game interview with him, and was struck by how genuinely humble and gracious he was. When asked how he felt/thought, his response was to appropriately thank God, wish his wife the best and tell her he loved her, and credit his teammates for helping him. How refreshing! And this from a young man who at 29 is "old" to be just coming into his own in the majors, whose career was practically ruined by injury, and who is really just insurance in the White Sox rotation to keep the top four guys fresh (the team skipped his last start after a rainout in favor of keeping the other four starters on pace). Phil Humber has become my favorite White Sox player!
