Spend a little time on the MLB board if you want to see what happens if you don't toe the company line.  Moderation mania.

Right.  Now it's moderated to death.  Can't post links, and lots of posts and even whole threads get deleted if the mods think it's not something they want publicized.

Luckily, WNFF has an excellent group of moderators, at least in my opinion :P

They do have a lot of deletions, but they've allowed me to be highly critical of ownership on a regular basis with hardly any moderation, so as long as you stay away from links and certain topics (things that would get a thread moved to Uncensored here) it's a really good board.

For the most part they have a good core group of regulars, quite different from the old days when there were lots more posters but also a lot of visitors from Baltimore.  The number of posters is a bit lower than WNFF, so the strong personalities stand out a bit more.  I tend to be board agnostic and post in the threads that interest me, whether they be here, on the MLB board, on BPGs, or on the various blogs.

Eric is a good guy, I hung out with him at a game once, kind of quirky like all good message board posters.

Thanks Chief! I can assure you (and everyone else) that I am a legit "source"! And yes, please feel to contact me directly at gamedaystaff@nationals.com if you prefer. (However, please dont spam me, I get enough of that already!)

And no, I will not comment either way about "Natitude". You'll just have to wait for the official announcement (if there is one) from Nationals Park...  :)

Naturally.  MLB posters are certainly welcome here.  We had a number in the past, but the ones that didn't stick around had their reasons, I'm sure.  Any or all of them are certainly more than welcome to give WNFF another chance.  Much as the MLB board has changed over the years, I'm sure WNFF has as well.

Remember that Zimmm/Cascada/Tedjustadmitit/Glennburnie etc nutcase?  He knew how to get folks riled up.  Probably deserves an honorable mention for motivating many to come to this fine forum.

Zimmm was the crap, that guy was flat out funny, best part of reviewing old threads from 2005 were his battles with MLBNati0nals.  Cascada was almost as dumb as the posters who responded to him.  The other guys were hardly memorable except for that Canadian freak AdoptaYank who thought that 9/11 jokes were a funny way to make fun of Americans.
