I bet that Milledge has a career series against us. It always happens with ex Nats.

Pirates fans are ripping Burnett apart for his comments. This should be fun.

The Nationals are still a very long way off from the 16 straight losing seasons failure of the Pirates.

That's cannibalism at it's finest right there.

So, with the two worst teams in baseball facing off this week in what could actually be a heated series that no one will ever know about, does it still count?

Nyjer felt like he was not a priority in Pittsburgh. Pretty sure he loves his new starting gig in DC where he is really appreciated.

If they didn't want Burnett, we sure as hell do. He's like a younger Beimel with more team control, and better numbers this year.

OT: Mike and Mike had a classic show today. Hilarious.

They agreed w/ what Burnett said about the Pirates, too.

Burnett does not sound as if he is lacking in motivation.

"We want to make them look stupid for making that trade," he said of the Pirates.

Rizzo for mayor.

On paper, we should take at least 3 of 4 from them. We'll probably end up getting swept.

I dig McCutchen. Has potential.

We really should destroy that line-up and take this game but nothing is certain or easy for the 2009 Nationals. Depressing. :?

Milledge :spaz:

That's an okay line-up, given all the people they moved. The thought of our team playing air-baseball against themselves was pretty funny though  :icon_mrgreen:

... We'd probably still lose :bag:

I just went to their site [ie Nationals]... I know 7 of their guys just by name.

I live an hour southwest of Pittsburgh. I know 5... FIVE Pirates!

yeah we should at least split this series.  i like our chances tonight.  big time.  for a lot of the pirates players it'll be the first time playing alongside each other - let alone meeting each other - let's take advantage of this.
