thinking about how long a Tv would last on my porch :lmao:

 :?

Theft is a concern.  I hope it lasts long enough for me to find a quality LOCKING wall mount bracket that will make it harder than just picking it up and carrying it off. Our porch itself isn't lockable, all screens.

During leaf season the porch is fairly private, few would know we have a TV out there.

that was freaking crazy stuff

An amazing 3-4 minutes of heavy rain, driven by high winds.  I'm going to guess 50+, 60 maybe at my workplace in Rockville.

Luckily it was short lived but driving through that mess was intense. I couldn't see a damn thing and I just saw things flying all around me.

Some weather forecasts are calling for a tropical storm or hurricane to hit the east coast next weekend

It went from sunny and blue skies to tornado conditions in like 5 minutes.

Gotta love D.C. weather.

I hate to bring this up but on Friday, July 20, 2012, I went to a game where it rained like hell.     We were playing the Braves and had a big lead.    Unfortunately, it wasn't a rainout.     I'm going Friday to see the Dodgers.    I ain't afraid of no stinking rain.   :)

Man was today an absolutely awesome day, maybe the best of the year.

Meanwhile...the most reliable of all hurricane prediction models (FIM) shows Dorian hitting coastal NC in about 10 days.  Of course it's way way to early to have any real reliability that far out.   This is one of the earliest times that we've ever gotten to "D" in the storm names, usually we reach it around mid to late August.

We've had roofers here all week, and they looked like they were totally enjoying themselves today...earlier in the week they looked half dead at the end of the day.

Looks like I'm about to get hammered pretty good going by the radar.  Been having some crazy thunder and lightning but not much rain yet.

Really nice night so far. Just sat outside for an hour or so with my BiL's dog.
