He's done a remarkable job as a fill-in. He has the third best ERA as a Nationals starter. Only Hill and Bergmann have been better.
Btw, I just got here, so I don't know if this was said, but Brandon Watson got a hit today, causing him to set the new International League record for a hitting streak
