Does Hotmail have any type of "Send from Hotmail" function like GMail does?

I mean when I see an email link on say, craigslist, I click on the link, and GMail opens up a Compose Message window for me, so that I don't have to go into GMail to send the email.

can Hotmail do that? If so, how?

I think that has more to do with how the browser handles mailto links.  I know in Firefox there's a setting for Gmail, Yahoo, "other", and "always ask", but I don't see one for hotmail.  Not sure if there's a way to set that up, or if Chrome supports anything similar.

yeah thats what I mean. I'll see if I can find it.

other than that, Hotmail seems to work ok for me.

looks like Chrome has an extension for it.

yup. the extension opens up Hotmail for it when you click an email link.

difference from GMail, is that GMail's extension just opens up a Compose window, while the Hotmail one opens up the full Hotmail, set to Compose Message.

Everything about Microsoft is relevant.

If you say so.  In about five weeks I won't have to use any Microcrape products again.

Best at what?  Show me one Microcrape product that dominates over an open source equivalent.

All of them.  I hate open source.  See any post I've ever written about Open Office.

So you're saying you can't give a good example.  Consider me not impressed.

you have a point.  And sharepoint is better than most of the open source tools i've seen (alfresco, drupal).  But I still hate Microsoft. :-)

I've loved apple for a long time, but I do think Windows 7 is a good OS.  MSE is nice too, an av program that doesn't use a metric freak ton of resources.

So you're saying you can't give a good example.  Consider me not impressed.

Office 2003 is better than OO.  Libre Office is better but still inferior to Office 2003.  Office 2007 was a masterpiece.  Office 2010 was a fairly minor upgrade to 2007 but it integrates perfectly with Web Apps.  Web Apps >> Google Doc, btw.

Please extols the virtues of MS paint over the GIMP. Rofl

Gimp and Paint are for totally different markets.  Gimp is way over complicated and is more accurately compared to Photoshop.

Paint.NET is fantastic, closed-source, written using the .NET framework by a Microsoft employee.

What's funny is that PC was the least trolling participant in that exchange.

All spot-on.

Uh, Microsoft Windows?

Now look, before anybody gets their knickers in a twist, I'm not a blind MS fanboy like PC (though I sometimes wonder if he's putting on a show), but between how turrible most Linux Desktop distros are and the fact that almost any worthwhile OSS app has an excellent Windows and/or Mac port, why in the blue freaking hell would anybody use desktop Linux?  Linux as a server is great, and there are some great shiny gems of open source like Firefox, GIMP, etc., but they aren't dominant products.

/Windows fanboy

That said, the two pieces of software that make up probably 95% of my computer usage (Firefox and Pidgin) are both open source

/devils' advocate :stir:

Also the forum runs on Linux
