Fick grounded into double play third to second to first, Jimenez out at second.

I stand by my earlier comment:
Fick should have been REPLACED by Dmitri YOUNG!!!!!!!

MANNY, you will NEVER have a winning season, if you CANNOT figure that out!

(Image removed from quote.)

You got that right!  What affinity does he have for Fick?  Young may not get enough plate appearances for the Batting Title because he keeps taking him out for Fick.

not a bunting situation. Should have batted Belliard if they were subbing Fick anyways.

For Fick, if you can minimize the potential outs, you do it.

not a bunting situation.

But it was a DP situation?

The point of bunting was to ensure that we got another batter, with the chance of advancing the runner.  Fick swinging almost guaranteed that wouldn't happen.

Holding him at third just delays the inevitable.

I can't wait for this road series to end. It's been an absolute disaster. I'm ready for the Redskins game tomorrow night to get into full football mode.

Speaking of that, ronnynat I read your question about where I will be at Fed Ex I sit behind the field goal post on the side where the players come out... but in the upper deck.

Lopez was horrible all series at SS. There is no question he is not a legitimate SS.

Martin doubled to right, Kent to third. Bases loaded from intentional walk now.
Hillenbrand hit sacrifice fly to right, Kent scored.
GAME OVER.  WE LOSE.

If Kearns makes a decent throw on the plate he is out.
But hey who is really caring at this point.
Can you imagine two sweeps losing 4 one-run games.
This team is masochistic.
Please show the press conference I want to hear the nonsense that Manny will say about Felipe.

I've been waiting for Manny to explode all season.. No better time than right now.  He said he wants to wait until September 1st to have a team meeting so he doesn't have to do it twice.  He has to do something right now because this type of play is unacceptable.

Knock around Brad Penny
Score 9 runs in the first 7 innings
Cordero throws 2 shutout innings
Church gets 4 hits

and still lose the game.

This kind of showing makes you hate your team.

If it's from the Nats pitching staff I'm not worried.

I wish I had forgotten this was a day game.   I missed last Friday's game and didn't really hurt that much.
