2014 Roster Moves
« Topic Start: April 12, 2014, 04:02:03 PM »
Zuckerman and Wagner both tweeting that Blake Treinen is in the clubhouse today and that he and Sammy Souza are listed on the lineup card. Not listed? Span and Barrett.  Hmm...

Mark Zuckerman ‏@ZuckermanCSN 45s

Barrett says he was sent to AAA strictly because Nats needed fresh bullpen arm. Was told he could be back in 10 days or so.

Too bad Clippard has no options, he looks like he needs AAA time more than Barrett.

Bullpen seems to purely be a need for a fresh arm.

Span must be hurt.

Doubt the Nats let Souza have many at bats.

Not much to see.other than the Nats now will be trying out a new leadoff guy.

Treinen needs to be added to the 40-man, so there's another move coming.

So you freaking sent Barrett down instead of that crap box Clippard?

I'm not sure Clippard is eligible to be sent down is he?

I don't have any freakin' idea.    That's why I asked.    :)    If carrier pigeon is good enough for Old Tom Morris, it's good enough for me.

EDIT:    I thought it was some kind of IPhone thing.

James Wagner ‏@JamesWagnerWP 22s

Jeff Kobernus lands on the 60-day DL so that's the roster spot for Blake Treinen. Denard Span lands on 7-day DL.

If Denard Span actually has a concussion, that's the worst news so far.

Vega laughing at you for your question is get back for all the times we've clowned him for asking elementary questions about sex and women that the normal child knows by the time he turns 6.

Span crushed that hanger after running into Uggla.

You have to hope this is purely precautionary.

I thought it was because I messed with his Lego's thread.    :)     Some of the young'uns don't realize there's lots of folks who simply don't give a crap about following someone on Twitter or tweetin' or turning on a cell phone (if they have one), etc.     Vega seems like a pretty cool character.   If I can give him crap, I can take his crap.

Left hand fracture for Kobernus. If you're talking about Span, he's got a mild concussion (he didn't pass the concussion test) and is resting at the hotel today.

Due to Span's concussion history, #Nats will be super cautious here. They feel concussion isn't too severe, but will monitor carefully
