its manny acta he's one of the worst managers in baseball.

I'm sure this same exact bullpen would be lights out under LaRussa, Torre or Cox.

it was stupid to let him pitch the 8th after pitching 2 innings last nifght - prob stupid to bring him in the 7th too- even stupider to let him stay in after twisting his leg catching bourn's bunt - so Manny is one stupid manager.

i'm not letting them off the hook, they suck too.  none of them want to throw strikes and then when they do they get burned.

Why is Ronnie Belliard entering this game? How stupid is that?
Why, for that matter, is Kip Wells entering this game?

I'm not going to blame Manny for this.  I mean sure he deserves his share, but let's face it, our bullpen is about as godawful as they come.  NO ONE could win with these rejects.

Sort of like how Leo Mazzone's magic was going to turn the orioles' pitching staff into the best in the AL.

thats why some players do well after they get traded or released from bad teams.

QFT  No doubt Acta makes questionable decisions but this game is about players and we don't have enough good ones in the bullpen to compete.

Guys, they just announced that Dom DeLuise died.

I suggest we all turn off the game and watch Blazing Saddles instead, in his memory.

Tyler Clippard, Marco Estrada, D Cab to the bullpen. Bring up Balester/Stammen as the fifth starter.  Tavarez gone.  Mock, hurt knee DL maybe?  It looked like a hyperextension to me.

we have some talented players on our team. we are bad because our bullpen is terrible and/or mgt desnt know how to manage the pen. today is a case in point. he kept tavarez in too long. he brought in a tired mock and then kept mock in too long.

which is why its so frustrating that Manny and st claire let Mock stay in the game

I'd say Clippard and Bergmann to the bullpen, keep Cabrera, Balester, Stammen in place, can Tavarez, send Mock down.

He had to bring in Mock, though. There aren't alot of pitchers left.
