I don't recall any analysts getting upset about Morse being in the lineup... if I recall correctly he was actually a big sleeper pick in a lot of fantasy publications?  But eh, maybe we read different sources. His career BABIP is pretty high.  I would personally be quite happy with him hitting .270 or .280 with the power he's demonstrated (which is most definitely sustainable).

He'll walk more when they stop throwing him stuff to hit. So far, teams are still living with the expectation that they can expose him as a hitter.

we've been talking about Morse as our ASG rep - we're setting the bar too low - he could be NL MVP.

I'm getting to the point when I'll be pleasantly surprised when Werth actually contributes offensively.

Werth has zero interest in playing baseball right now. So annoying. Act like you care dude.

He actually has seemed to be walking a bit more lately.  I expect his walks to rise somewhat, and his batting average to decrease.  But I don't know if that's correlated with teams respecting him or just him reverting to more reasonable projections.

About Morse: He actually still has more ABs last year than this year so far.  But ya I will give you that each season individually could be a bit of an aberration, but combined are pretty credible evidence Morse has figured it out long term.

Then don't count on being pleasantly surprised that much.   :?

if I could disagree with the boss here, for just one minute....I thought that commercial was stupid. Okay. That is the last time you will get any disagreement from me, sir.

Nice short inning by Lannan.  Not sure I'm so happy about the hard hit line-drives and fly balls, however...that spells trouble for a groundballer like him.

Lannan has really been not been great tonight... awful defense and allowing hard-hit balls all over the place.  Let's hope these don't start falling for hits.

S37, I think he's hinting at Werth's poor body language. Not saying he doesn't care... But look at Morse. A man on a mission. Werth? Ehh.

Presumably it's Bixler or Hairston.
