I think his reputation exceeds his ability in some instances (i.e. our pitchers aren't nearly as aggressive as they should be in going after the zone, and they never have been in St. Claire's tenure), but you have to credit the man for consistently having such a patchwork pitching staff with which to work and making the most out of it. He's done surprising things with very marginal players.
But you know, he had that one bad game at Dolphin Stadium earlier this year, so Captain Duncecap ensured us all that he's a terrible fielder who should step aside to the GODLY outfielder that is Elijah Dukes.
...not to mention that GODLY outfielder is hitting jack crap in A Ball Potomac.
They need to only throw offspeed pitches to WMP in batting practice from now on.
1. Who is Captain Duncecap (for future reference)?2. Elijah Dukes? Ick.
1. Who is Captain Duncecap (for future reference)?
You must be new here. Cpt. Duncecap = Air Zimmerman herself
Pena is horrible. He has taken 2 fastballs right down the middle (1 in each AB) yet swings at every changeup Glavine throws outside and in the dirt.
He had 2 hits tonight or Potomac though.
Dukes is such a team player, he wants to show all of our prospects on the Potomac roster how not to hit so that they'll all be as beastly as Dukes himself when they get called up for the Nats in the future.Dukes's selflessness >>>>>>>>>>>>> the selflessness of every other rehabbing player in the minors
AKA, Air Zimmerman <<<<<< bbq and mikehughes
Really, what kind of numbers should we expect from Pena?
Redding's been awesome this season. He seems to get the least respect from the fans, though. Must be his age.
He's looked lost since coming back.
But yeah, I've only been here since ... since a couple games into the losing streak, I think.
