Yeah 26 is over the hill.  :?  BEsides, he said they are younger at the position players. You remind me of wpa where people can't say anything that sounds negative about the Nats without you reacting like they spit on your face.

tell me you were the terps 8)

i'm going to the maryland-cal game by the way.  so pumped.

great swing by zimmerman.  he's having a great series so far.

btw this pitcher is terrible.  we should put up a 5-spot easily.

i was the dillon panthers (using matt saracen, jd mccoy, smash, and tim riggins FTW), but am repping MD in season showdown...

no, but with the way Carpenter has talked the last few nights you figured that the Pads were fielding a team kind of like we did last year.

The young players they have aren't even good prospects.

i also created the permain panthers from the movie...boobie miles, billingsley, winchell...chavez. awesome

JD may be a little nag at times (and screw his dad...mf er) but he is a damn good QB and i cant wait till season 4

this isn't even about the Nats. it's about the Padres. they aren't a young team despite what Carpenter is spewing.

Luis Rodriguez is a 29 year old career minor leaguer. By the way he hits against us and Carpenter talks they would think he is a young stud top prospect.

The Nats aren't fielding a young team because of injuries, Rizzo's inability to dump the veteran bums, and a few contracts that will expire after this season.

I hope we are fielding a lineup like this next year:

C - Flores
1B - FA or Trade
2B - Gonzalez/FA/Trade
SS - Desmond
3B - Zimmerman
LF - Willingham
CF - Morgan/Bernadina
RF - Dukes

SD announcers: "This wouldn't happen in San Diego!  It's all sunshine where we come from..."

Carpenter said the Padres have younger players than the Nats at the positions. They have several players starting that are under 30 (a couple of them 25 and under). We have 3 (and only one is under 25). Why the freak are you talking about Nats' injuries and 2010 projected rosters? I don't see why what Carpenter said is so difficult for you to grasp.

they have an entire lineup full of bums and retreads. the guys in the high 20s are supposed to be in their prime.

I think Pete McElroy posts or reads here:

Quote

Left fielder Adam Dunn, who committed his 12th error of the season last night, wasn't brought to DC for his defense. He was signed to hit homers and drive in runs.

So when he makes an error, people shouldn't be surprised. While I'm not saying everyone should be pleased when he does boot a ball, don't be so quick to rip him.

Another thing I continually hear is that he doesn't run hard or he "takes his time" getting to a ball in the gap or down the line. I say this, how many 6'6'', 270 pound athletes do you know who look graceful at that size?

This is not to say he uncoordinated, but to get his big frame going, takes a little longer than someone six inches shorter and 50 pounds lighter.

I can guarantee that no one wants to win or hustles more than Dunn. Accept him for what he is.

yeah it'd be nice if dunn could cut back on some of the crap, but honestly we knew going in he would do this (honestly i thought it'd be worse, it sounds like he really has worked with grissom).  he's the least of our problems, imo.

we knew he was going to do this and still signed him. that's what is troubling.

I know Rizzo wouldn't have signed him if he were the GM at the time. He values defense and playing the game hard.

we'd be a lot worse without dunn.  and i'm calling anyone an idiot that says we'd be better off without adam dunn.

I'm sick of this rain. How many days can we keep putting the bullpen out in the 2nd and 3rd innings because of rain?

I don't believe him.

I don't care what he says. Dunn loafs it in the OF. It's just not because he is big and clumsy.

No one wants to win more than Dunn? That's laughable too.
