“That’s fantastic!” says A-ha guitarist-keyboardist Magne Furuholmen in an e-mail sent from his home in Oslo. “This song has done the rounds, but I never heard of it engaging the audience in this way.” Furuholmen adds that he’s ready to switch his allegiance from the Red Sox to the Nats
Switching loyalty from the Red Sox to the Nats ? Front runner.
Way cooler than Sweet Caroline or Don't Stop Believing.
'Don't Stop Believing' is OK (I rather like Journey) but anyone who sings 'Sweet Caroline' ought to be hauled out of the ballpark (it's bad enough being deemed a part of the Orioles market without the Red Sox also trying to claim a piece of us).
I get chills hearing that, LO. Might just be 40,000 people missing the high note.
It cracked me up the first time I heard everyone in the crowd finish the song - even more so when I watch it on TV and can hear it in the background. This song and Werth's Led Zeppelin are two great come out songs.
I think much of Nats Park was expecting Take On Me when Morse came to bat in the bottom of the first....
I was. I think that they should have done it, the crowd would have gone NUTS.
