Obviously any organization that hires the likes of Phil Wood has incompetent hiring practices.
It's amazing how many times that thought entered people's minds and came out of their mouths today. The problem is that they don't plan. It seems clear they hire the cheapest people they can find at the last minute.
Is it just me, or does it seem like they showed up on Tuesday to get things ready?
Isn't a sold out game a good day to have all your concession stands open?
You really think players never gets tips from the dugout based on scouting reports and their own abilities/limitations?
Of course they do. Your point was that Dunn could be positioned differently. When I say I'd prefer the veteran's instinct on positioning as well, you point out that positioning could be decided from the dugout. So... I'm not sure where we're going with this. Players also move after the start of delivery based on pitch selection, btw.
My point is that LaRoche made a great play but he was only in a position that forced him to make that play BECAUSE he has the ability to make said play. I seriously doubt Dunn would've been playing as close to the bag. Also my point is that no one has an alternate reality machine, so people should stop assuming that they know what would've happened in Rizzo-actually-did-sign-Dunn universe
Everyone would have Van Dykes, that much we know for sure.
FP says at the top of the 9th, "I like the match-ups for the Nationals here"LaRoche over powered plop-up to leftfield lineMorse K's on up and in fastballAnkiel K's on called back door sliderNot today but I like the enthusiasm
I didn't like the match-ups the after seeing Kimbral's first pitch.
He's pretty good
He's like HRod with control
Yeah, he was definitely impressive.
