I think it's a coin toss personally, but does any skins fan really care, sure I have my preference, but I'd take either over any QB we've had since Rypien, and even that would be close

I'm in this position. I really don't care if we get one or the other.

Some people are set on Griffin. They have been enamored with him for months and some would naturally be upset if Luck fell to Washington. I would not be upset either way.

So you're saying it would be a close decision for you between Luck/Griffin and Rypien?  :spit:

I disagree. Just because his analysis leads him to conclude that Tim Tebow isn't an NFL level QB does not equate to hatred. I don't think Tebow, at this time, can play and should not be playing QB in the NFL but that doesn't mean I hate Tebow. I don't hear anyone being accused of hating Rex Grossman but plenty of people have said publicly that he sucks and is a joke at QB.

I wouldn't bet that the Colts are going to take Luck for sure. I would not be surprised if they drafted Griffin. It's possible that Shanahan already knows this and this may be the reason why they pulled the trigger on the trade. So it's probably not wise for Redskins fans to have their hearts set on Griffin.

No, I mean something other than a QB. Like Clairborne or Blackmon

Absolutely and the posse. Plus the 1991 was just a complete team all around. Rypien was an average QB at best.

And the sad thing is we haven't even had an average qb since

Didn't Shanahan draft Maurice Clarett in the 3rd round?

Panicked Redskins Send Another Couple First-Round Picks To St. Louis Just To Make Sure

WASHINGTON—Mere days after sending the St. Louis Rams three first-round picks and a second-round selection in exchange for the second pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins took steps to ensure they would be able to sign Heisman Trophy–winning quarterback Robert Griffin III and sent the Rams another pair of first-round picks "just to be absolutely sure." "We have to take steps to protect the future of this organization," Redskins owner Daniel Snyder said Monday, adding that he would also consider throwing in tight end Chris Cooley, Washington’s best offensive player, and $1.4 million in cash if it helped to "make super sure" his team gets the pick. "And the way I see it, giving all our future draft picks away is the best long-term plan for the Redskins, especially since we don't have any money." As of press time, Rams officials said they had filed the paperwork to transfer the draft pick, but that having Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo "couldn't hurt the process."

It's more to the point that he says Tebow isn't smart enough to play qb. I don't agree with that at all. I think he has the smarts and work ethic, but maybe not the talent. There's a huge difference there.

As for RGIII or Luck? I'll be ecstatic regardless of which of the two we get. I think most Skins fans are on the RGIII bandwagon because it seems to be a foregone conclusion that the Colts will take Luck. That said, I agree with you that the Colts could go with either as well.

Ahh, the Hogs and The Posse. Wonderful memories. Will we ever get those days back? I'm not drinking the Koolaid yet for a playoff contending Skins.

The kool aid doesn't get passed out till after the draft. And with the Redskins taking Griffin, it's going to be mighty strong this year

They don't have 2nd or fourth round picks. One player doesn't make a draft (though Luck/Griffin would definitely help). I think they ought to take advantage of a slipping "character issue" guy like Janoris Jenkins or Vontaze Burfict in round three.

You are mistaken, we have two fourth round picks.

IMO, he's just trying to get his voice out there so he can get a show. Whether that be on radio, TV, pre-game, whatever. Mitchell did the exact same thing, now people like him again. Nothing new here.

I heard he came back on twitter and tried to deny that that was the case. He should not have a twitter account.
