Talk about adding injury to insult.  Flores just took a hard one off the mask.

I've been back and forth. I randomly felt like crap today (don't know why that would be :?). Been laying down quite a bit.

DOES THIS HURT YOUR HEAD?

So, predict MIller's pitching line in his next start:

4.1 IP, 6 H, 4 BB, 7 R, 7 ER, 1 K, Loss

The Marlins fans were thrilled to get Mark Wiley back as pitching coach.  He is the one who nearly brought Willis a Cy Young, and really turned Beckett into a pitcher.  Everyone knew Wiley was good, but now everyone is thinking there in an extra "o" in that adjective.

Coming into tonight, in the last cycle through the rotation, they all averaged getting into the 7th and had a combined 1.76 ERA (Badenhop was the worst at 3.17 ERA).  Miller's last outing, he went 6.0 IP and 4-hit the Padres allowing 2 ER.  In his last 5 starts, his ERA has been 4.68.

On the 7th Day, God created Mark Wiley, and he said, "That is good."

We'll be the first to hear it and I don't think we'll even need to be online to do so!

In case you hadn't noticed, the Padres suck as bad as the Nats, so I don't think I would be touting that performance as evidence that it is acceptable that we should be getting shut out by this guy.  My point is that we rarely make a starting pitcher pitch even his average game; they almost always pitch better than their career average.

DC built them a brand new stadium and the Lerners thought they could just thrown any old bullcrap out there and still collect revenue. I think they will find out differently shortly if this keeps up.

And then the media will say, "See, DC won't support a baseball team."

DID anyone else se the Marlins reading our media guide in their dugout? I think they were trying to figure out who they were supposed to be playing today because clearly our team didn't bother to show up.

So, to put it in mathematical terms:

Mark Wiley = 1/Lenny Harris

Not as big a difference as pitching against the Nationals makes.
