Unlike us, I bet they don't blow this opportunity...

I bet they cash in both of those runners.

And this is where Simontacchi will get hammered, 3rd time through the order.  Church has been flat out bad in LF tonight.

huh? Is he supposed to sprout wings? That ball was hammered, and in the other cases, the bench coach had him positioned to the center.

That's such a wasted pitch.

Earl Weaver's magic three-run home makes its appearance. Sigh.

What a ******* idiot.  1-2 count and he gives him that pitch, just inexcusable.  Go back to AAA, you bum.  He has done that **** all night.  When you are ahead in the count you do not need to throw strikes, especially against hitters that chase (Ex: Fielder).  That is the absolute worst, pitching stupid.

Our pitchers have to be damned near perfect to have a chance to win.  >:(

Hi all, just got home.  More of the same, I see.  At least "Smoochi" is having a good outing.  Er, had.

Well I take that back.

I just picked up Hardy off waivers for the Forum fantasy league, who just doubled.
I am living a charmed life.

3-run homer - I think we were asking too much of this kid.
Acta had pulled guys after 5 before, to avoid this.

Nationals 1
Brewers 4

Well I take that back.

I'm not going to dog him too much. I disagree with the pitch selection to Fielder when he had him down in the count. But it's not like it would matter with our flimsy offense. We seldom support our pitchers with our bats.

another 3 run deficit.  With this team that is like being down 10-1 as opposed to 4-1.

A one-run lead is usually "unovercomeable" for us.

Pitch up to a good hitter, and he paid. Too bad, because most of his pitches were good. He just paid for mistakes which were not many.

regarding offense, I would junk the experiment and go with this:

My lineup:

Lopez (SS)
Zimmerman (3B)
Church (LF)
Young (1B)
Kearns (RF)
Belliard (2B)
Langerhans (CF)
Schneider/Flores (C)

Schneider with another hit.  Him and Zimmerman have 4 of our 6 hits.

OK here we go again. Two runners and no outs. I ask again, will we capitalize on this opportunity?

Fick on base for the 3rd time tonight.  Young should never play.  According to Shoeshine, Nook should be bunting here..?

Nice bunt. Don't like Casto PH here, but we'll see.

That was close. A little farther and we have the bases juiced. Logan reminds me too much of Kenny Watson at the plate with all the foul balls to left field that put him behind in the count at each plate appearance.

With 2 hits, Schneider has raised his BA to .219, thus increasing his chances for an All Star selection...

At least we got the one, could have gotten two if the RF doesn't make the grab.
